The "LABORATORIO URBANO - European
Urban Workshop" was founded in Bari
in 1993 as a Town Planning Council, but a year later it became a Cultural
Association dealing with the protection of the historical, artistic and
environmental heritage. Our intention has always been to provoke citizens
and Institutions' attention toward the forgotten or abandoned sites of the
medieval town centre and peripheries, through planning proposals and the
utilization of cultural instruments, such as Visual Arts, Architecture and
Urban Planning, Music, Participated Planning.
The
responsible
The founder and present chairman of the
Association is Mr. Eugenio Lombardi, architect and
environmental planner and expert in Urban Psicology.
